Mrs. Heilmann:  Technology
Web Pages

The list of Web sites that will allow teachers to make personal Web pages for free is shrinking fast, as more and more sites are beginning to charge for their services.  Here are some sites that still provide free Web pages, as well as sites that will help teachers develop and maintain a Web page for a fee.

Free Web Sites for Teachers
Expage - This site is easy but is more limited than the others.  You can't put in your own backgrounds or pictures.  They do have a lot to choose from however.
Filamentality - This is a fill-in-the-blank interactive Web site that guides you through picking a topic, searching the Web, gathering good Internet sites, and turning Web resources into learning activities. It helps combine the "filaments" of the Web with a learner's "mentality".
Inspiring Teachers - This site offers 20 MB of Web space especially for new teachers.  Your Web address will include, unless you want to pay the fee to register your own domain name.
SchoolNotes - This site allows you to create a page which includes the following:  space for homework, project notes, flashcards, and hyperlinks.  This site furnishes clipart and music, or you may import your own.  There is also a feature which allows anyone visiting your site to email you.
